The Chinese Embassy in Jordan, in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, organized a departure ceremony on Tuesday for a humanitarian aid shipment destined for the Gaza Strip.
China’s humanitarian assistance will be transported from Jordan to Gaza through land routes. The emergency aid consists of 60,000 food parcels, which will be sent in six separate shipments. The first shipment, containing approximately 12,000 food parcels, will be handed over to organizations such as the World Food Programme and the Palestine Red Crescent upon arrival in Gaza.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Chen Chuandong reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, highlighting that China has previously sent multiple aid shipments to Gaza and will continue its assistance efforts.
Secretary-General of the Hashemite Charity Organization, Hussein Shibli, expressed sincere appreciation for China’s support to Gaza’s residents. He also conveyed his hope for continued collaboration with China to provide aid to those in need in the region.
