China remains dedicated to fostering a stable, constructive, and sustainable relationship between its military and that of the United States, according to a statement by a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense on Friday.
Defense Ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin reaffirmed China’s commitment to the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and mutually beneficial cooperation in military relations.
He urged the U.S. to refrain from exaggerating the so-called “China threat,” to respect China’s core interests and key concerns, and to collaborate in enhancing communication and dialogue for better management of disputes and building trust.
Jiang emphasized the importance of joint efforts by both sides to improve and further develop military-to-military ties.
