Last Thursday (12th), the China-Pakistan Public Health Exchange Conference was jointly sponsored by Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC) and School of Public Health, Lanzhou University (LZU), and co-organized by Anhui Anlong Gene Technology and Life Rehealth Technology.
IMDC, established in 2007, is affiliated with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, recognized by Pakistan Medical Commission and approved by the Ministry of Health, Pakistan.
The School of Public Health LZU with a 62-year history has 6 institutes working under its leadership and offers more than 6 specialized masters programs, in addition to its undergraduate teaching.
According to IMDC, China and Pakistan have a lot to share with each other regarding knowledge and interventions in various domains of public health. This immense experience and source of knowledge will be further amplified and grown through collaborative interactions between the two countries.
Prof. Wang Junling, Dean of The School of Public Health LZU, and Prof. Shoaib Hussain Shah, Dean of IMDC, delivered speeches, introducing the basic information of the participants and their school. Prof. Luo Bin, Prof. Zhang Benzhong, Prof. Wang Xiaohui and Prof. Huang Xiaodong, Vice Dean of the School of Public Health LZU, attended the meeting.
At the occassion, experts from Pakistan and China exchanged research results on several topics of public health, including Introduction of international education and cooperation in LZU (Prof. Luo Bin), Collaborating for the future: the Sino-Pak Health Corridor (Dr. M.Ahmed Abdullah), Quality of primary health care in 7 provinces of China: using unannounced strandardized patients (Dr. Wang Xiaohui), Introduction to IMDC public health activities (Dr. Nadia Tariq), and so on.
