China-Pakistan Int’l Industrial-Education Cooperation Alliance unveiled aiming to strengthen vocational and digital education.
The 2024 China-Pakistan Vocational Education Cooperation and Development Seminar, organized by Tangfeng International Education Group and supported by Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Education Commission, was recently held in Wuxi, China.
Over 300 participants, including Afifa Shajia Awais, Education Attaché at the Pakistani Embassy in China, along with leaders and experts from both nations, attended the event. The seminar highlighted achievements of the China-Pakistan International Industrial-Education Cooperation Alliance, with Afifa Shajia Awais emphasizing Pakistan’s recent collaborations with Tangfeng on projects like the CCTE program, Chinese language courses, and short-term training, which have benefited Pakistani youth and contributed to industrial cooperation between the two countries.
Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Education Commission will further partner with Tangfeng to integrate 210 programs into Pakistan’s vocational education system, aligning them with the needs of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). This collaboration aims to enhance vocational education through a digital and green industry-education cooperation model, promoting high-quality cooperation.
Furthermore, at the project launch ceremony, Gulmina Bilal Ahmad, Chairperson of Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Education Commission, noted the success of the China-Pakistan International Industrial-Education Cooperation Alliance in fostering numerous cooperation projects.
Additionally, over 70 new Chinese institutions joined the Alliance, strengthening ties with Pakistan’s education authorities and Tangfeng. The event also saw Liaoning Petrochemical Vocational and Technical College recognized as a co-builder of the “Pak-China Friendship Language Center” and the launch of the China-Pakistan Digital Curriculum and Standards Project with eight Chinese institutions participating.
