Jizhou Kiln is tucked away in Yonghe, Ji’an, Jiangxi. It is one of the most well preserved ancient famed kiln sites. It is believed that Yonghe came before Jingdezhen.
The wood-leafed black-glazed porcelain making techniques are unique to Jizhou Kiln. Natural leaves are placed in the tea cups as decorations for amazing products. Such tea cups have been hailed as unrivalled wood-leafed utensils in the world since ancient times.
In 2014, Jizhou Kiln’s porcelain making techniques were listed into the fourth group of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
