Chinese President Xi Jinping stated on Wednesday that China and Colombia should take the opportunity of Colombia’s formal joining of the Belt and Road Initiative to enhance their bilateral cooperation.
Xi made this statement during his meeting with Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who was in Beijing for the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC Forum.
Following their discussions, the two leaders observed the signing of a cooperation agreement between their governments to jointly develop the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road.
