China-Arab Think Tank Alliance debuts its conference focusing on promoting development and peaceful resolution of Palestinian genocide.
The inaugural conference of the China-Arab Think Tank Alliance took place in Shanghai on Friday, focusing on topics such as high-quality development, high-standard cooperation, and the Palestinian issue.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li stated that the alliance reflects the deepening friendly relations and political trust between China and Arab nations. He highlighted its significance as a vital step toward collectively addressing challenges and building a brighter future.
Deng outlined five main objectives for the alliance: promoting development, fostering cooperation, advocating for peace, pursuing justice, and enhancing exchanges.
He urged think tanks from both regions to unify their perspectives on the Palestinian issue, propose solutions for long-term regional peace, and strive for a comprehensive and lasting resolution to the Palestinian conflict.
Ahmed Rachid Khattabi, assistant secretary-general of the League of Arab States, along with other Arab representatives, praised China’s developmental progress and expressed hopes for strengthening cooperation and pursuing modernization together.
Arab delegates also recognized China’s role in advancing regional peace, particularly regarding the Palestinian issue.
The conference was attended by representatives from nearly 40 think tanks across China, 19 Arab countries, and the Arab League, as well as several Arab diplomats in China. The China-Arab Think Tank Alliance was officially established in January 2024.
