CanSino Bio shows interest to deepen vaccine cooperation with Pakistan

A delegation from the Chinese vaccine manufacturer CanSino Bio, led by vice president Mr Jack Wang, called on Ambassador Moin ul Haque at the Embassy of Pakistan Beijing on Thursday.

Mr Wang briefed the Ambassador on CanSino’s vaccine supply to Pakistan. He expressed a strong desire for his company to continue to meet the vaccine demand of Pakistan in the future given its increased capacity in China. He also offered support in enhancing the existing local filling and production capacity of NIH Pakistan not only for the Covid-19 vaccine but also for some other vaccines.

Ambassador Moin ul Haque thanked Mr Wang for CanSino’s support during the difficult period of the Covid-19 pandemic. He remarked that vaccines supplied by Chinese companies have been the backbone of Pakistan’s inoculation drive. He assured Mr Wang of the Embassy’s full support and facilitation in CanSino’s plans to enhance collaboration with Pakistan.
