Cambodian minister hails BRI in changing lives worldwide as it continues to strengthen cultural exchanges along with infrastructural development.
Cambodian senior minister Ly Thuch stated on Friday that China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has significantly impacted lives and shaped the futures of people worldwide.
During his speech at the opening ceremony of the Shapingba Hotpot Carnival in Phnom Penh, he emphasized that the BRI is a global initiative fostering mutual benefits, win-win cooperation, and shared prosperity for all participating nations.
He highlighted that Cambodia has been one of the key beneficiaries of the BRI, which has not only enhanced infrastructure connectivity but also strengthened cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
Thuch also extended his sincere appreciation and congratulations to the Chinese government and people for their remarkable progress and accomplishments.
Furthermore, he acknowledged China’s expanding role on the global stage in promoting peace, security, stability, common development, and shared prosperity to build a community with a shared future for humanity.
Discussing Cambodia-China relations, he described the bond between the two nations as an “unbreakable” ironclad friendship, with both sides committed to developing a high-quality, high-standard, and high-level community with a shared future.
He also expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and people for their continued support in Cambodia’s economic, social, trade, and infrastructure development.
