Bomb attack targets Arab Sheikh convoy in Balochistan with no Arabs harmed in the attack.
A bomb attack in Balochistan’s Kech district targeted a convoy of Arab sheikhs, leading to the deaths of two security personnel and injuries to four others.
According to Levies sources, the attack occurred near Dasht Khadan Zireen Bak, a location between Gwadar and Turbat, as the sheikhs were returning to their camp following a hunting trip.
While the Arab sheikhs remained unharmed, two members of the security team escorting them lost their lives, and four others were injured. The wounded individuals were promptly taken to Turbat for medical care.
Levies officials noted that Arab sheikhs often travel to different areas of Balochistan for brief hunting excursions, particularly to hunt the houbara bustard, before heading back to their countries.
The motive for the attack remains unknown, and an investigation into the incident is currently in progress.
