Army, Police Review CPEC Route Security in Dera Ismail Khan, Station Commander Brig Muhammad Abubakar, accompanied by District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada, on Sunday inspected key security points along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route, including the Yarik and Abdul Khel interchanges.
According to a police spokesperson, the visit included inspections of police posts, meetings with on-duty officers and personnel, and a review of surveillance operations at the camera control room. Arms and ammunition were also examined during the visit.
Senior officials, including SP Paharpur Asad Ali Shah, SDPO Panyala Circle Muhammad Saleem Baloch, and SHO Asghar Khan Wazir, were present for the briefing. The DPO outlined the existing security arrangements, highlighting coordination efforts to ensure safety along the strategic route.
Brig Abubakar commended the police’s role in countering terrorism and reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to working closely with law enforcement to maintain peace and stability. “The police’s sacrifices in combating terrorism are commendable, and our cooperation will continue to safeguard public safety,” he stated.
