KARACHI – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Chinese embassy as the country saw latest series of violence in which two Chinese nationals were killed and one was injured in a suicide attack near Karachi’s international airport Sunday evening.
PM Sharif visited Chinese Embassy in capital to express condolences after tragic deaths of Chinese nationals in a recent terrorist attack in port city. During his meeting with Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, the PM conveyed his deep sorrow over the loss of life and emphasized that the protection of Chinese citizens in Pakistan remains the government’s top priority.
Sharif said the government will not tolerate any attempts to undermine the strong ties between Pakistan and China. He assured that he would personally oversee the investigation into the incident, committing to enhance security measures for foreign nationals in the country.
He assured that government is fully engaged in identifying and bringing the perpetrators of the attack to justice as quickly as possible.
On the other hand, Ambassador Jiang Zaidong expressed his gratitude for the swift response from the Pakistani government and voiced confidence in its ability to effectively investigate the matter and hold those responsible accountable.
PM’s visit underscores the importance of maintaining robust Pak-China relations, especially in light of security challenges.
