AJK Speaker thanks China, Azerbaijan, Turkiye for support of Pakistan in its recent conflict with India.

Speaker of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Choudhary Latif Akbar, expressed deep gratitude to China, Azerbaijan, and Turkiye for their support of Pakistan during its recent standoff with India.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday alongside Hurriyat leaders, he urged the international community to prioritize the resolution of the Kashmir issue in line with relevant United Nations resolutions.

The Speaker voiced optimism that Kashmir would soon achieve freedom and ultimately become part of Pakistan.

Hurriyat leader Ghulam Muhammad Safi stressed the need to settle the Jammu and Kashmir dispute according to the will of the Kashmiri people and the UN resolutions.

He remarked that India is now struggling to come to terms with its defeat, and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image has been tarnished, with growing criticism even within India.

Mishaal Malik, the wife of imprisoned Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, accused India of exporting terrorism and highlighted that the global community is increasingly aware of the severe human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by Indian forces.
