Ahsan Iqbal urges direct trade routes with Central Asia by connecting Gwadar and Karachi with landlocked Central Asian States.
Planning Minister Professor Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized the need for creating the most efficient and shortest trade routes, by road, rail, and sea, to connect with Central Asian countries.
He made these remarks while presiding over the second consultative session of the Working Group on Multimodal Connectivity held in Islamabad.
Ahsan Iqbal noted that implementing a multimodal connectivity framework will enable Pakistan to expand its trade outreach by serving as a gateway for Central Asian states to access South Asian markets through Gwadar and Karachi ports.
