Pakistan Navy ships HUNAIN and YARMOOK seized more than 2,800 kilograms of narcotics during a joint counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea.
The seized drugs were valued at approximately $750 million, according to the Pakistan Navy.
Suspicious Boat Intercepted at Sea
The ships were conducting a routine patrol when they identified and intercepted a suspicious boat.
Following a boarding operation, naval personnel searched the vessel. They discovered narcotics hidden inside concealed compartments.
Navy Reaffirms Maritime Security Commitment
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, praised the officers and crew for their professionalism and vigilance.
He also reaffirmed the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to strengthening maritime security. In addition, the Navy will continue efforts to combat illicit trafficking at sea.

The seizure represents a significant counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea. Moreover, the successful interception highlights the role of naval patrols in detecting and disrupting illicit maritime trafficking.
