A ten-member Gwadar delegation has completed a ten-day professional training program in Karamay, China, at the invitation of the city’s Foreign Affairs Office. Municipal Corporation Gwadar nominated the team for the program, hosted in Karamay, Gwadar’s sister city. Chief Officer Makhtoom Moosa led the delegation, which included:
- Assistant Director Fisheries Shah Fahad
- Vice Chairman Haji Hoth Saifullah
- Accounts Officer Qasim Usman
- Senior Instructor Shakeel Faisal
- Livestock expert Bashir Hoth
- Councilors Haji Javed and Saddam Razzaq
Focus on Climate and Agriculture
Karamay Vocational and Technical College organized the sessions, which centered on meteorological disaster management, climate change, livestock development, and agro-technical practices. Chinese experts delivered intensive morning and evening classes throughout the program. Consequently, delegates took part in interactive discussions and hands-on learning to build stronger expertise in environmental and agricultural management. Beyond the classroom, the group toured operational sites, observing disaster-management systems, climate-monitoring facilities, and advanced livestock techniques firsthand. A coordination team accompanied the delegation throughout to ensure smooth proceedings.

Talks Focus on Scholarships and Cooperation
Officials from Karamay’s Municipal Government and Foreign Affairs Office also met with the delegation. During this meeting, Moosa proposed expanding cooperation in municipal administration, environmental management, and public service delivery. He further requested scholarship opportunities for Gwadar students, enabling them to access China’s vocational and educational systems. The meeting closed with an exchange of commemorative gifts. The delegation additionally visited technical institutions in three nearby cities, exchanging ideas on innovation and sustainable development.
