A team of Pakistani and Tajik students has won second prize at the “Belt and Road” Business Elite Challenge (BRBEC) Brand Planning Competition 2026, held in Sanmenxia.
Innovative Healthcare Business Proposal
The BE-FLEX team, based at Nanjing Tech University, presented a business plan focused on introducing 3D-printed orthopedic solutions into the Pakistani healthcare market. Moreover, the proposal targeted rising demand for diabetic and orthopedic care products in Pakistan.
Focus on Medical Technology Transfer
Their project highlighted the potential of 3D-customized insoles and orthopedic supports, which are currently limited in local availability. In addition, the team emphasized the advantages of advanced digital manufacturing techniques used in China.
International Student Collaboration
The winning team included Pakistani students from different academic backgrounds, working alongside a Tajik business student under the supervision of Chinese faculty. As a result, the project reflected strong cross-border academic collaboration.
Global Participation and Competition Scale
This year’s competition attracted over 500 international students from 54 countries. Furthermore, entries were evaluated based on innovation, market strategy, and practical application in global industries.
Strengthening Belt and Road Academic Exchange
Organizers noted that the competition continues to promote industry-academia collaboration under the Belt and Road framework. Consequently, it serves as a platform for international students to develop real-world business solutions with global impact.
