Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit China on May 23 for a four-day state visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed the visit and said the discussions will cover major strategic and economic issues between the two countries.
Focus on CPEC and Economic Cooperation
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold high-level talks with Xi Jinping and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
Officials said both sides will discuss the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, including infrastructure, industrial cooperation, investment, and regional connectivity.
In addition, Pakistan and China are expected to review progress on ongoing CPEC projects and explore new opportunities in trade, technology, and energy cooperation.
Political Forum and Diplomatic Celebrations
The visit will also include the launch of a bilateral political forum aimed at strengthening institutional dialogue between the two countries.
Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will participate in events marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. Officials described the anniversary as an important milestone in the long-standing strategic partnership.

Pakistan and China continue to maintain close cooperation across economic, political, and regional sectors. Observers believe the upcoming visit will further deepen bilateral ties and support future collaboration under CPEC and other regional initiatives.
