China’s envoy to the United Nations described the Pakistan-China relationship as a “towering tree” during a Pakistan Day event, emphasizing its deep-rooted and enduring nature. The ceremony brought together ambassadors, UN officials, and members of the Pakistani community.
The envoy highlighted strong bilateral cooperation at the United Nations, including joint efforts in promoting multilateralism, global peace, and development initiatives. He also praised Pakistan’s contributions to UN peacekeeping missions and international cooperation.
He further noted the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), stating that it has strengthened economic ties, with China remaining Pakistan’s largest trading partner. Representatives from multiple countries also commended Pakistan’s progress and reaffirmed support for continued global collaboration.
