China has outlined an ambitious roadmap to expand its space capabilities under the 15th Five-Year Plan. The strategy aims to transform the country’s aerospace sector into a major driver of economic growth and technological innovation.
The plan focuses on developing reusable rockets, advanced satellite systems and large-scale satellite internet constellations. These systems will work alongside the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System to create an integrated space-based network supporting communication, navigation, emergency response and connectivity in remote regions.
China also intends to expand deep-space exploration, including new missions to Mars and further lunar research through an International Lunar Research Station. Officials say the country will continue strengthening partnerships with global partners to advance scientific discoveries and future space missions.
