Chinese aerospace giant, Aerospace Development Industry Investment Group Co., has announced its intent to invest up to $10 billion in Pakistan across diverse sectors including aerospace, advanced technologies, energy, and mining.The announcement comes during a high-level meeting with Pakistan’s Board of Investment Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh in Islamabad, where officials discussed potential investment avenues and collaborations.
Pakistan, a strategic partner under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), offers a large consumer base, strategic geographic location, and investor-friendly policies, making it a prime destination for industrial expansion.The Chinese company highlighted its focus on skill development initiatives in Pakistan alongside industrial investment, and aims to leverage its AAA corporate credit rating and international expertise to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Minister Sheikh praised the interest shown by the Chinese firm and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to improving the investment climate through regulatory reforms, easing business procedures, and offering incentives for Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
