Pakistan has proposed more than 10 significant development projects for Gwadar for the fiscal year 2026-27, under the federal and provincial public sector development programs. These projects aim to improve infrastructure, public services, and tourism facilities in the city.
The proposed initiatives cover drainage, sewerage, and road construction across multiple areas of Gwadar. They also include upgrades to Pishukan and Surbandar jetties, development of public parks, housing for doctors at GDA Hospital, and expansion of Gwadar Cricket Stadium to enhance recreational facilities.
The Gwadar Development Authority reviewed these proposals in a meeting chaired by Director General Moin ur Rehman Khan. Following approval by federal and provincial authorities, these projects are expected to accelerate Gwadar’s transformation into a modern and sustainable urban center.
