The University of the Punjab in Lahore hosted the international conference “Bridging Horizons: Celebrating Pakistan–China Deep-Rooted Friendship,” bringing together students, academics, and policymakers to strengthen intellectual and cultural ties between Pakistan and China.
Speakers emphasized that sustainable Pakistan-China relations rely on youth engagement, academic partnerships, and cultural exchange. Discussions covered the Digital Silk Road, artificial intelligence, geological cooperation, regional connectivity, and agricultural collaboration.
A major highlight was the student poster and speech competition, attended by nearly 500 participants who creatively expressed themes of friendship, shared development, and future cooperation. Senior Chinese academics reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to expanding scholarly collaboration and people-to-people connections with Pakistani institutions.
