Pakistan’s cement dispatches increased 12.54 percent year-on-year to 4.538 million tonnes, with exports emerging as the primary driver of industry growth, data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association showed.
Export volumes jumped more than 61 percent, underscoring the sector’s growing reliance on international markets amid uneven local construction activity. Domestic sales posted modest growth during the period.
South-based mills led export shipments, while north-based mills maintained dominance in domestic markets. Overall performance reflects sustained momentum in the cement sector during the ongoing fiscal year.
