China’s expertise in modern farming offers a roadmap for Pakistan. The goal is to modernize agriculture and boost productivity. Both sides agreed on knowledge exchange and technical support.
Dr. Qu Dongyu encouraged long-term development strategies over short-term spending. They discussed smallholder farming, local food systems, and green rural development. Targeted research investments can increase farmer incomes and food security. The meeting strengthened ties between Pakistan, China, and FAO. Minister Hussain reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to transformative agricultural projects.
The discussions follow PARC’s strategic reform plan with Chinese collaboration. Technology Transfer Units and regional demonstration hubs will accelerate adoption of Chinese farming methods. These steps aim to turn research into tangible benefits for farmers. Pakistan intends to modernize agricultural infrastructure nationwide. The initiative positions Pakistan for climate-smart, innovation-led farming growth.
