Over the past five years, Pakistan has exported nearly 1,700 metric tons of homeopathic medicines to 26 countries, generating more than $5.2 million in revenue. This highlights growing global demand for Pakistan’s natural healthcare products.
Sudan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are the largest importers, receiving 275 MT, 159 MT, and 158 MT respectively, while other nations including the United States, UAE, China, and the UK also import significant volumes.
Yearly exports have steadily increased, peaking at 778 MT in 2024-25, showing the country’s expanding production capacity and emphasis on alternative medicine. Despite this growth, Pakistan still imports larger volumes from countries like Germany, France, and Switzerland, indicating opportunities for further local production.
Experts note that homeopathic medicines offer safe, gentle, and non-invasive treatment options suitable for all ages, targeting physical, emotional, and mental health. The export growth is creating jobs in manufacturing, research, logistics, and marketing, while contributing to foreign exchange earnings.
This upward trend in exports enhances Pakistan’s global position in the alternative healthcare market, opening doors for international collaborations, investments, and wider recognition of its homeopathic expertise.
