Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, met with Palestine’s Permanent Observer, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. The meeting was held at the Pakistan Mission in New York.
The diplomats discussed current developments in Gaza, the humanitarian situation, and recent updates regarding UN peacekeeping efforts. The talks highlighted the importance of multilateral cooperation to address regional challenges.
This meeting followed a monthly luncheon hosted by Ambassador Asim Ahmad for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the E10 members of the UN Security Council, where the situation in Gaza and related UN peacekeeping matters were also discussed.
Ambassador Asim Ahmad, serving as E10’s coordinator for November, emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to promoting peace and justice for Palestine, encouraging dialogue and collaboration among international stakeholders to support humanitarian and political solutions.
