The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) successfully concluded DataFest 2025, a national platform celebrating Pakistan’s growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) and data innovation to strengthen policy decisions and drive inclusive development.
Held under the theme “From Numbers to Lives Unlocking Tomorrow with AI,” the two-day event brought together experts, students, and policymakers from across the country. It featured live demonstrations, interactive dashboards, and the launch of the new GIS and Spatial Insight Dashboards, marking a major step toward transparent, data-based governance.
PBS also signed multiple MoUs with universities and organizations to enhance research cooperation, promote innovation, and develop future-ready skills. The sessions covered themes such as AI in agriculture, digital job creation, and disaster preparedness, blending technology with national development priorities.
Chief Statistician Dr. Naeem uz Zafar applauded the PBS team for hosting an impactful event that advances the vision of a data-smart Pakistan. He emphasized that empowering youth and adopting AI-driven systems are essential for sustainable growth and evidence-based decision-making.
