The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday that Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit India from August 18 to 20 at the invitation of New Delhi. During the trip, Wang, who also serves as China’s Special Representative on the boundary question, will lead Beijing’s delegation at the 24th round of talks between the Special Representatives of China and India on the longstanding boundary issue.
Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will engage in dialogue aimed at addressing regional concerns and advancing bilateral cooperation. The visit underscores Beijing’s emphasis on maintaining communication channels with New Delhi despite complex dynamics in bilateral relations.
