The Corps Commanders’ Conference noted that after facing a clear defeat in its direct military aggression against Pakistan following the Pahalgam incident, India is now intensifying its subversive campaign through proxy elements, namely Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.
Chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir in Rawalpindi, the forum emphasized the urgent need for comprehensive and resolute action at all levels against these Indian-backed and sponsored proxies.
The commanders also offered prayers for the martyrs of recent terror attacks carried out by these proxies. Acknowledging recent counterterrorism successes, the forum reaffirmed that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs will not be in vain, and reiterated that the safety and security of Pakistani citizens remains the top priority of the armed forces.
General Munir shared details of Pakistan’s recent successful diplomatic engagements, including high-level visits to Iran, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, where he accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, highlighting proactive foreign policy efforts.
The conference also received a detailed briefing on the Army Chief’s significant visit to the United States, where interactions with senior U.S. leadership allowed Pakistan to present its perspective on bilateral and regional affairs, as well as wider global issues.
Additionally, the forum conducted a thorough assessment of internal and external security dynamics, focusing on the Middle East and Iran, and the increasing global trend of using military force as a primary policy tool. This, the forum noted, underscores the need for enhanced national self-reliance, unity, and resilience.
Commenting on India’s baseless accusations aimed at masking its recent defeat, General Munir criticized India’s efforts to involve third parties in what is essentially a bilateral matter. He said such actions reveal India’s intent to engage in bloc politics and falsely position itself as a regional security guarantor, even as regional sentiment grows increasingly critical of India’s hegemonic and Hindutva-driven extremism.
The forum was also briefed on the Army’s ongoing modernization efforts, emphasizing rapid adaptation to evolving threats and the changing nature of warfare.
General Munir also commended the leadership of the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force for enhancing inter-services coordination and synergy among the armed forces.
In conclusion, the Army Chief expressed strong confidence in the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Army to effectively address the full spectrum of threats facing the nation.
