World’s largest car carrier launches in Shanghai with a capacity of 9500 vehicles.
Anji Ansheng, the world’s largest ocean-going car carrier with space for 9,500 vehicles, was officially launched at the Haitong International Automotive Terminal in Shanghai on Thursday afternoon.
The vessel was built by SAIC Anji Logistics, a subsidiary of SAIC Motor, and is equipped with strong cargo capacity, high energy efficiency, smart low-carbon systems, and the ability to run on carbon-neutral fuels.
Later that evening, it was scheduled to depart for Europe, carrying around 7,000 domestically manufactured new energy vehicles, including SAIC’s MG-branded models.
