An Indian drone was brought down by the air defense system in Gujranwala Cantonment after it violated Pakistan’s airspace early Thursday morning.
According to military sources, the drone was flying at a high altitude when it attempted to cross into Pakistani territory but was promptly intercepted by the Gujranwala Cantt air defense unit.
As the drone entered the city’s airspace, the defense system quickly reacted, launching two rounds that successfully neutralized the aerial threat.
Local police later recovered the wreckage of the drone from agricultural fields near the village of Pir Jhanda in Gujrat District.
