Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held a meeting with International Finance Corporation (IFC) Managing Director Makhtar Diop and his team on the sidelines of the IMF–World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C.
He updated the IFC delegation on Pakistan’s strong macroeconomic performance and highlighted the recent sovereign credit rating upgrade by Fitch, describing it as a testament to the government’s successful reform agenda.
Aurangzeb expressed gratitude for IFC’s support in the Reko Diq project and urged the Corporation to fast-track its advisory work concerning the Karachi airport.
