The Chinese government sent a second batch of emergency earthquake relief supplies to Myanmar on Thursday morning from Beijing Capital International Airport, as reported by the China International Development Cooperation Agency.
This shipment includes 800 tents, 2,000 blankets, 3,000 boxes of biscuits, 2,000 boxes of mineral water, and other essential supplies. The aid is being transported to Yangon via a chartered flight from China. Earlier, the first batch of emergency relief supplies arrived in Myanmar on March 31.
Li Ming, spokesperson for the China International Development Cooperation Agency, affirmed China’s commitment to supporting Myanmar’s disaster recovery efforts by providing continued assistance as per the country’s needs.
He expressed optimism that, with collective efforts from China and the global community, the people of Myanmar will successfully recover from the disaster and rebuild their homes soon.
