Chinese cuisine has been gaining popularity in Pakistan, particularly in Rawalpindi’s vibrant food street. Among the standout restaurants is Lanzhou Chinese Beef Noodles Restaurant, known for its distinctive and authentic Chinese flavors, drawing in food lovers eager for a unique culinary adventure.
The restaurant is operated by a Lanzhou-based Chinese family that has been living in Pakistan for 12 years. Over time, they have successfully opened two branches; one in Islamabad and the other more recently in Rawalpindi.
In an interview, manager Daniyal Khan shared that their menu includes a range of traditional Chinese dishes such as dumplings, Chinese soups, and fried beef and chicken, all crafted with genuine Chinese techniques and flavors. He noted that the restaurant has quickly become a favorite, especially among young diners.
He further mentioned that the restaurant experiences high footfall, welcoming around 400-500 customers weekly, reflecting its growing popularity. The staff comprises both Chinese and Pakistani employees, with two expert Chinese chefs at each location ensuring the authenticity of the dishes. Additionally, 10-12 Pakistani team members assist with daily operations and customer service.
Daniyal Khan highlighted the restaurant’s dedication to offering a genuine Chinese dining experience. He revealed that all ingredients, as well as kitchen equipment and crockery, are directly imported from China. This commitment to authenticity ensures that every dish maintains its original taste and quality.
