Turkish President Erdogan gifts Togg EV to PM Shehbaz as he was on a two day official visit to Pakistan.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with a model of Türkiye’s locally manufactured electric vehicle, Togg, during his two-day visit to Islamabad.
Erdogan gifted the T10X model of the Togg SUV, as seen in a video where both leaders admired the car’s sleek black exterior. The footage captured Sharif sitting in the driver’s seat while Erdogan accompanied him as a passenger, with the Pakistani premier taking the SUV for a spin.
Later, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari took the wheel of a Togg SUV, driving President Erdogan and her father, President Asif Ali Zardari, as media representatives observed the moment.
Following Erdogan’s departure, Sharif expressed gratitude on social media platform X, thanking the Turkish president and First Lady Emine Erdogan for their visit and for bringing a high-profile Turkish delegation to Pakistan.
Pakistan was the third and final destination in Erdogan’s Asia tour this week, after visiting Malaysia and Indonesia. During his stops in these countries, he also gifted Togg electric vehicles to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
During Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan, both countries signed 24 agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties. The Turkish president highlighted his discussions with Sharif, which covered a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global matters.
