Xi urges Jilin to lead Northeast China’s revitalization and contribute towards China’s modernization goals.
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday called on Jilin Province to fully implement the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee’s strategic plans for the revitalization of northeast China and contribute more to China’s modernization efforts.
As general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi made these remarks after receiving a work report from the Jilin Provincial Committee of the CPC and the provincial government in Changchun, the provincial capital.
Emphasizing the importance of high-quality development, Xi urged Jilin to prioritize the real economy as its foundation. He stressed the need for a balanced approach by upgrading traditional industries, strengthening competitive sectors, and fostering new quality productive forces to drive sustainable growth.
