19th meeting of China-EU Round Table held in Beijing highlighting that the year 2025 will mark the 50th anniversary of China- EU relations.
Wang Dongfeng, president of the China Economic and Social Council (CESC), addressed the 19th meeting of the China-EU Round Table on Tuesday in Beijing. The meeting was held between the CESC and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), its European counterpart.
Wang, who also serves as vice chairman and secretary-general of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, highlighted that 2025 will mark the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic relations. He expressed China’s readiness to collaborate with the EU to strengthen the round table mechanism, enhance mutual understanding, expand cooperation, uphold true multilateralism, and contribute to the steady and sustainable development of China-EU relations.
Prior to the meeting, Wang held discussions with EESC President Oliver Ropke.
