China-CEEC dialogue strengthens cooperation during an event held in Beijing.
The “Communist Party of China (CPC) in Dialogue with Political Parties of Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) 2024” event took place in Beijing on Monday, where China and CEEC representatives pledged to enhance political party cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties.
Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, highlighted that the 2021 China-CEEC Summit set a roadmap for their relations. He emphasized the CPC’s commitment to deepening strategic and theoretical exchanges with CEEC political parties, leveraging cooperation platforms, and improving the quality and efficiency of collaborative efforts.
Foreign participants acknowledged China’s development model as a valuable global alternative and expressed their willingness to foster dialogue and collaboration with the CPC. They stressed the importance of such exchanges in building mutual understanding and advancing Europe-China relations.
Under the theme “China’s Modernization and New Opportunities for China-CEEC Relations: Contribution of Political Parties,” the event brought together nearly 50 representatives from 19 political parties across 12 Central and Eastern European countries.
