7th China International Import Expo opens in Shanghai with Chinese Premier delivering a keynote address at the opening.
The latest China International Import Expo (CIIE), recognized as the world’s first national-level expo focused solely on imports, opened on Tuesday in Shanghai.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang delivered the keynote address at the inauguration of the 7th CIIE and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum.
Scheduled from November 5 to 10, the 7th CIIE has attracted 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions. The event has set a new record with the participation of 297 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders.
Over 400 new products, technologies, and services will be launched at the expo, which experts view as a clear sign of global businesses’ confidence in the Chinese market and their intent to further invest in China, despite slow global economic growth.
