KP Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Faisal Khan Tarakai, announced that 50 schools in the merged districts of the former FATA are being provided with all necessary facilities through financial support from the People’s Republic of China. Additionally, a project for newly constructed schools is nearing completion.
During a meeting focused on educational projects in District Khyber on Wednesday, the minister presided over the session. The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs Adnan Qadri, MNA Iqbal Afridi, MPA Abdul Ghani Afridi, local education officers, and students from District Khyber.
The meeting addressed various issues concerning the education sector, including completed and ongoing projects, as well as other challenges. Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai assured the public representatives from District Khyber that second-shift schools in the area would be operational within a week, allowing both boys and girls to access education locally.
He further stated that the provincial government is launching a rented school building project throughout the province, with special focus on the merged districts, to swiftly initiate the educational process.
