Xi Jinping, the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited Baoji in Shaanxi Province and Tianshui in Gansu Province from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning.
In Baoji, Xi toured the Baoji Bronze Ware Museum and an ecological park along the Weihe River to review local initiatives for cultural relic preservation and river conservation.
In Tianshui, he visited the Fuxi Temple, an apple production base, and the Maijishan Grottoes to assess efforts in cultural heritage protection and the development of modern fruit industries in the region. The Fuxi Temple honors Fuxi, a legendary ancestor of the Chinese people.
