Jiang Zaidong visits Confucius Institute in University of Karachi making remarks on the significance of education and bilateral cooperation.
On September 6, Ambassador Jiang Zaidong visited the University of Karachi, exchanged views with President Khaled and teachers and students of the Confucius Institute, and deeply mourned the Chinese teachers killed in the April 26 terrorist attack.
KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Iraqi informed the visitors that the university takes pride in having a steadfast friend like China, which has consistently supported Pakistan on international platforms. He expressed hope that the visit of the Chinese delegation, especially Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, would further strengthen ties at both institutional and global levels.
Dr. Iraqi highlighted KU’s strong partnership with Sichuan Normal University, which has been instrumental in supporting the Confucius Institute (CI) on campus. He acknowledged the significant contributions of both the Chinese and Pakistani directors of the CI in improving its facilities and standards.
Dr. Iraqi emphasized that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a vital project for Pakistan’s economic development and prosperity, marking a key step forward for the nation’s growth.
