The event will bring together leaders from about 70 IP institutions of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) partner countries, as well as representatives from international organizations, embassies, domestic agencies, industry professionals, and scholars, totaling around 450 participants.
The conference will focus on regional cooperation, green development, digital transformation, and enhancing the value of intellectual property, according to senior CNIPA official Sheng Li.
During the three-day event, CNIPA, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the Eurasian Patent Office will conduct discussions on how IP can drive innovation in enterprises.
China has been actively fostering IP cooperation with BRI countries, having signed agreements with 57 partner countries and conducted over 50 training sessions since 2013, benefiting more than 1,300 IP professionals. Chinese experts have also been sent to more than 10 countries and international organizations to support IP capacity building among BRI partners.
