On August 22, Pakistani agricultural, food enterprises sign landmark agreement with Chinese company focusing on software and IT for food industry.
A delegation of 16 Pakistani agricultural and food enterprises took a significant step toward enhancing agricultural cooperation with China. The group, which includes producers and exporters of rice, sesame, and corn, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Suzhou Chef Ma Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.
The MoU signing was led by the delegation’s head, Mr. Hafiz Saad Bin Mustfa, and Suzhou Chef Ma’s General Manager, Mr. Huang Zhijun. The event was witnessed by the Pakistani Consul General in Shanghai, Shehzad Ahmad Khan, who was present to observe the agreement.
According to the MoU, the Pakistani delegation will provide Chef Ma with high-quality and safe food products. Chef Ma, a company focused on software and information technology services for the food industry, will receive a variety of agricultural products, such as rice, sesame, corn, and maize, showcasing the delegation’s expertise in these areas.
Chef Ma expressed strong interest in purchasing the Pakistani products, with the deal being valued at around RMB 200 million (approximately USD 28.7 million). This commitment reflects the Chinese company’s confidence in the quality of Pakistani agricultural goods.
In the afternoon, the Consulate General of Pakistan in Shanghai, in collaboration with Pakistan St Fulin Group, hosted a Sino-Pakistan Agriculture, Commerce, and Trade Roundtable Forum. This event brought together over 60 Chinese enterprises for one-on-one discussions with the Pakistani delegation, facilitating a deeper understanding of each other’s capabilities and exploring possible areas of collaboration.
