At the launch event held at Lahore’s Expo Centre, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, hailed BYD’s entry into the Pakistani market as a major milestone in the nation’s push towards sustainability. He emphasized that BYD’s presence is not merely about introducing new vehicles but about embracing a sustainable future that aligns with Pakistan’s goals of energy efficiency.
Aurangzeb reiterated the government’s dedication to supporting initiatives that promote green technology, stimulate the local economy by creating jobs, and drive technological progress in the automotive industry. He also pointed out that BYD’s entry could boost Pakistan’s export capabilities in the electric vehicle sector, aligning with national strategies to enhance high-tech exports and reduce trade deficits.
Furthermore, the Minister called for stronger collaboration between the government and industry players to introduce innovations that would contribute to the nation’s sustainability objectives and economic resilience.
In collaboration with Mega Motor Co., BYD held an experiential launch event at the Lahore Expo Centre, where it presented its long-term vision for Pakistan and reinforced its commitment to leading the shift towards sustainable transportation.

The models introduced represent the latest in the company’s innovations and are also aimed at meeting the diverse needs of Pakistani consumers with superior performance, advanced features, and a commitment to sustainability.
Mr. Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, expressed his excitement about the company’s global expansion. He emphasized that as the world moves towards a sustainable future, BYD is proud to lead the charge. He noted that BYD’s entry into Pakistan is about more than just introducing advanced vehicles; it is about driving a broader vision of environmental responsibility and technological innovation, with NEVs playing a crucial role in shaping a cleaner and more prosperous future for both Pakistan and the world.
