China welcomes Bangladesh’s interim government as expressed by the spokesperson of the foreign ministry of China.
China expressed its support for Bangladesh’s formation of an interim government on Friday, emphasizing that it respects the path of development chosen by the Bangladeshi people.
Reports indicate that Bangladesh’s interim government, led by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammad Yunus as chief adviser, was sworn in on Thursday.
A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson reiterated China’s commitment to non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.China respects Bangladesh’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and remains dedicated to maintaining a policy of good neighborliness and friendship with the Bangladeshi people, according to the statement.
The spokesperson highlighted the long-standing friendship between China and Bangladesh, affirming the importance China places on its relationship with Bangladesh.
“China is prepared to collaborate with Bangladesh to enhance bilateral exchanges, cooperation in various sectors, and to further develop their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership”, the spokesperson added.
