July 29 – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi meets Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren in Lahore on Monday to discuss various mutual interests.
They covered topics such as enhancing bilateral relations, the progress of CPEC projects, and the safety of Chinese citizens in Pakistan.
Naqvi highlighted that CPEC has significantly strengthened the friendly ties between the two nations, noting that every Pakistani takes pride in this enduring relationship.
“Both countries have similar views on global issues,” Naqvi stated.
He emphasized China’s consistent support for Pakistan and their shared views on international matters. The Minister assured that all possible measures are in place to ensure the security of Chinese citizens and commended their cooperation in implementing robust security protocols.
Naqvi explained to the Consul General that the government had taken all possible measures for the security of Chinese nationals living in the country. “We praise the Chinese citizens for cooperating with us in the provision of foolproof security to them.”
