The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Mao Ning, expressed China’s warm welcome for the upcoming visit of California Governor Gavin Newsom and his delegation to China.
China hopes that this visit will yield positive outcomes. Mao emphasized China’s desire to enhance exchanges and cooperation with California, promoting interactions in various sectors such as the economy, trade, science, technology, education, culture, and youth. This collaboration is seen as a means to benefit both nations and contribute positively to China-U.S. relations.
“We always encourage people from all walks of life in the two countries to have more frequent exchanges and support sub-national exchanges and cooperation in the economy, trade, science and technology, education, culture, and youth to bring more benefits to the two peoples and more positive energy to China-U.S. relations,” Mao said.
