ISLAMABAD, Sept 21 – Punjab’s Caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday afternoon visited the Communist Party Secretary Office in Yinchuan, the capital city of China’s Ningxia province.
Liang Yanshun, the Secretary of the Communist Party in Ningxia, warmly welcomed Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his accompanying delegation, as stated in an official statement.
In the formal meeting, preliminary decision was taken to establish a sister cities relationship between Sahiwal and Bahawalpur in Punjab and Wuzheng and Zhang Wei in Ningxia.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Liang Yanshun, the Secretary of the Communist Party in Ningxia, engaged in discussions concerning the progress of Ningxia and the implementation of a more efficient one-stop service system.
They reached a mutual agreement to tap into China’s expertise in various fields, including meat production, dairy development, Information Technology, and drip irrigation systems.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi extended a written invitation to Liang Yanshun, the Secretary of the Communist Party in Ningxia, to visit Punjab, which was graciously accepted.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to reviving the 17-year-old sister province agreement between Ningxia and Punjab.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, expressing admiration for Ningxia’s model of industrial and agricultural development.
In response, Liang Yanshun, the Secretary of the Communist Party in Ningxia, commended Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s efforts and assured unwavering cooperation for the progress and prosperity of Punjab and its residents.
